San Diego State fifth-year senior Bonnie Draxler placed second in the women's pole vault with a first-attempt clearance at 14-11.50 (4.56m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Draxler, who placed 16th at last year's finals, produced the best national finish by any indoor pole vaulter in program history to elevate to the No. 9 all-time collegiate indoor performer.
