San Diego State senior Elaine Ribeiro placed second in the women's 5-kilometer race in 18:31.6 at the 72nd Aztec Invitational, leading the Aztecs to a 24-32 victory over UNLV. Ribeiro, last season's champion, was the fastest collegiate runner in the field for the second year in a row at Mission Bay Park.
